PvP Pyrodom Mindfuck

PvP on Rift isn't the most entertaining thing, nor is it fully balanced.
Rogues are the new rage post-1.6 *rawr*

But despite this, my latest venture on Rift this weekend is getting to rank 6 and getting shiny new PvP armor (so pretty!) - I'm 220k prestige (out of 360k) away from the rank and about 102 marks of retribution away from the full rank 6 set.

But the point of this post is to introduce you to a mage build I've found to be very successful on the warfront, or at least for me... Pyrodom
(Here's a link to the build: MindFuck)
I'm not one to give advice on builds, especially considering I'm a clicker, but I'd advise you use the macro's mentioned in the forum post.

Important notes to consider:
* When speccing into this build, make sure to swap one point from Archmage to reach the top tier in the Pyromancer tree "Heat Wave". I find that Rune Shield isn't the most helpful skill on WF when you're too busy to take a glance at your charge meter.
*If you really want some fantastic burst damage, buff up with a Pyro Shield, debuff your target quickly, pop Heat Wave and blast them with fireball. Your Cinder Burst should proc after this, so you have a chance to finish them off with a big blast in the face (Killing Spree!)
*Grasping Void is so much fun to use, but isn't everything better when it's in slow motion? :D
*Make sure to double click your shield macro as soon as you're stuck in a tight situation, and always keep a distance (though if you are stuck in melee range, flicker is a blessing)
*Also, PLEASE remove Thunderblast from the first macro. It's essential you know what this move does and use it when it's actually useful (like when that big 2H is slashing you across the nuts)
*A little bit of squirrel-spam won't hurt either, especially when you're up against a PvP noob who isn't quite aware of a break-free ability.

So there you have it folks, the PvP guide from Yaranak. God help you.

Oh, and if you do try it, let me know where you've spent your points and how useful you think it is in the WFs.

GLHF!
